South Africa Photographic Trip Itinerary

I am now organising fantastic photographic and filming trips of a lifetime to some of the best locations for wildlife photography that South Africa has to offer. Do you have a hybrid camera that can film as well as take photographs? Learn the skills of wildlife film making and story telling. Or would you just like the opportunity to take some amazing wildlife photography? Then this is the trip for you. Small tailor-made vehicles specially designed for the purpose and the only ones in Kruger made for the needs of the photographer/film maker.

Why are my trips different? I like to spend time with the animals and help you to really develop your own emotional response to them whilst developing your own personal style of image making.

A typical itinerary as follows:

Day One: Arrive Johannesburg where you will be met by your photographer Rachel Wegh, before taking the short flight to Nelspruit. Here we will join our nature guide who will drive us to the gates of the Kruger National Park. You will check into the park and your accommodation. A short game drive and barbeque will be the start of your safari experience.

Days One to Three: Arrive at the Big Cat reserve late afternoon/early evening in time to freshen up and take dinner. This is a special place and a few pleasant surprises are in store:) Two nights here will have you photographing the parks cheetahs, leopard, and lions along with rhino, crocodile, giraffe and hippo at close quarters as well as having the chance to enjoy the surroundings and hospitality.

Days Three to Ten: Spend seven full days in Kruger National Park visiting various parts of the park for it's amazing variety of wildlife and landscapes. Staying at camps such as Satara, Lower Sabie and Skukuza, we traverse large tracts of the park whilst spending quality time with the wildlife, studying their behaviours and capturing it on camera.

Days Eleven and Twelve: We spend a night at a Forest Camp learning about the resident rescued wildlife and the animals of the region. The visit will include the opportunity to photograph several species of vulture as they come down to feed. The eleventh day will see us leave the forest camp for the journey to Hoedspruit and our flight back to Johannesburg.

Non-photographers with an interest in wildlife are also welcome. These are twelve seater vehicles but are limited to six clients to allow maximum opportunity for photography/filming.

Included: Internal flights, accommodation in huts, bungalows and lodges - air conditioned where-ever possible. Full-board at the Big Cat reserve and Forest Camps in air-conditioned quality rooms. A limited supply of water and snacks will be supplied to clients throughout the trip. The services of a nature guide and a wildlife photographer throughout your trip.
